使用說明
在「訊息文本篇」中，文章主要以客觀的角度描述事物或現象，文章幾乎沒有主角，故事性較低，強調事實陳述。在大人平常接觸的文本中，有95%是訊息式文本，像是新聞或社群媒體裡的閱讀材料，所以孩子不能只讀故事性文本，更需要早一點接觸日常生活中隨處可見的訊息式文本，因此，這本書的訊息式文本增加到六篇。
 
在本書所選用詞彙、文章長度、故事內容都比「故事文本篇」稍微難了一些，不過這些挑戰應該不會讓孩子因此打退堂鼓。
 
文章設計，則是以二～四篇為一組的主題設計，讓孩子在前一篇文章中學到的閱讀策略可以產生「學習遷移」，在後續的故事裡運用出來，這樣才能有效鞏固孩子的閱讀策略學習，多元的主題選文則避免兒童在類似的內容中浸泡太久，對閱讀失去了新鮮感。
 
配合「低指導需求」的練習本，大多數孩子打開內容就知道該怎麼做，即使是沒有教學專業的家長或志工，也可以輕易完成指導。讓孩子讀過《漫畫語文故事集》後，可以依據自己的時間和能力安排，挑戰練習本中各種語文技能的練習題，得到最好的學習效果。
 
練習本配合每篇故事，有如下各種類型的練習項目，其設計目的如下： 
1. 文章結構表：藉由簡單問答幫助孩子發現文章的架構， 進而更理解文章內容。
2. 朗讀流暢性：這是閱讀理解的最佳預測指標，鼓勵孩子多次計時，看看自己是否能越讀越快。
3. 生字習寫：針對常用的同部件字，進行生字的拆解、書寫及造詞填空的練習，同時增加詞彙量。
4. 生字賓果：讓孩子在遊戲中再次熟悉目標生字的書寫。
5. 語詞學習與複習：以多選一的練習幫助孩子瞭解詞彙的意義和用法。孩子們最愛的圈詞練習，可以在遊戲氛圍中，增加目標語詞的練習次數。
6. 閱讀理解：有三至四個層次不同的提問，可在閱讀文章後檢視自己是否讀懂文章。
7. 寫作訓練：搭配文章內容進行修辭、連接詞、標點符號等寫作技巧的練習。
8. 故事分享：讓孩子練習把讀完的故事說給同儕或大人聽，以提升口語能力。
 
小叮嚀：練習本一定可以提升孩子的讀寫能力，但請陪伴孩子閱讀的師長們特別注意，實施時千萬「不要打壞閱讀胃口」。可以針對孩子的能力，選擇適當的項目給孩子練習，不一定每一項都要做喔。

　　1.《數是怎麼來的?》
　　你的孩子是幾歲學會數數兒的呢？

　　很多孩子很小就能正確地讀出數字順序，有的還能數數自己有幾顆糖、跟別的小孩比比誰的玩具多……但這種計數能力，只是生活上的學習應用，他們對於數是怎麼來的，可能一點兒也不清楚。
    
　　數是一切數理的基礎，因此在這裡我們要推薦「數是怎麼來的？」這本書，讓孩子透過故事情節的引導，輕鬆瞭解數字的誕生過程。
    
　　根據考古研究，人類大概在六千年前就會使用數字計算。而在這之前，數字概念更是早就存在了。至於在那麼古早之前，數是怎麼發展出來的？現在或許只有從觀察原始部落的日常著手，才能試著找出可能的推論了。

　　這本書就是根據原始部落的行為，推論出五個數字的發展階段：配對、數量的比較、命名、數字的次序、數數兒。

　　2.《奇數和偶數》
　　分類可以幫助我們把錯綜複雜的情況，輕易地整理出頭緒。
　　
　　數字也可以分類，奇數和偶數就是最簡單、最基本的一種分法――可以配對成雙的叫作「偶數」，不可以完全配對的則叫作「奇數」。
　　
　　在日常生活中，有許多事物可以用來教孩子認識奇數和偶數。比如說，一隻手有五根手指頭，五是奇數。吃飯前，筷子都是一雙一雙擺上桌的，所以總數一定是偶數。「奇數和偶數」這本書，就是; 利用這些具體、生活化的例子，讓孩子輕鬆認識奇數和偶數，以及知道它們在生活中的用處。而在這個過程中，你和孩子還會驚訝地發現：原來生活中處處都有數學！

　　3.《零不只是沒有》
　　0 是一個很特別的數字。很多人都認為0 是「沒有」，但如果它是沒有，又為什麼要特地用一個數字來表示它的存在呢？
　　
　　「零不只是沒有」這本書，就從生活化的實例中，讓孩子認識0 的意義和用處。0 可以說是數學上最重要、也最具決定性的發明之一。它可以是所有比賽、測量的起點，也可以作為時間、溫度的分隔點，甚至可以用來當收支的平衡點，更重要的，它能在位數法中發揮填補空位的作用。
　　
　　零的功用這麼多，但很多孩子對零的認識卻很模糊，做到含有0 的數學運算時，例如 「203-9」，往往還會出現明顯的障礙。而這些困擾，相信在讀完這本書之後，一定能讓孩子豁然開朗。

　　4.《大家來做乘法表》
　　為什麼7×4=28 ？你的孩子知道嗎？
　　
　　也許他會說：「九九乘法表上是這樣寫的啊！而且老師也這麼說。」九九乘法表可不是只能死背的東西，瞭解它的結構由來，可以發現裡面的每個乘式都是大有道理的。
　　
　　「大家來做乘法表」這本書，就是透過實際動手數石子兒的方式，引導孩子用不同的角度去拆解乘法表，進而明白乘法表是怎麼做出來的，並激發他們創造出適合自己用的乘法表。

　　5.《猜一猜，除一除》
　　根據數學教育家的調查，發現一般小學生最感頭痛的數學課題是除法。
　　
　　很多小朋友雖然會做除法的運算，但是他們往往不瞭解除法步驟裡所代表的真正含意，尤其是餘數的概念。他們多半只記得老師說過：「餘數一定要比除數小。」至於為什麼？那就不知道了。
　　
　　其實，除法就是一種猜猜看遊戲，在日常生活中常可以碰到類似這樣的猜猜看情境。這本「猜一猜，除一除」以分汽水、分鈔票、分書本等生活例子貫穿全書，讓孩子邊猜邊玩邊學，自然體會除法的基本概念。同時，孩子也可以透過猜猜看的方式，認識正確的學習過程――從不斷的嘗試、錯誤、修正中找到真理，求得正確的結果。這樣學習得來的知識，才會是扎實的、根深柢固的。

　　6.《分數是分出來的》
　　「分數是分出來的」要講的是分數的基本概念。
　　
　　雖然這是一本講分數的書，但是從頭到尾書裡都找不到任何分數的符號， 比如1/2、1/3、1/4。沒有分數符號，怎麼教分數呢？這正是這本書作者厲害的地方。作者認為：數學上的符號是抽象的，如果能把抽象符號轉化成具體事物，孩子就能排除符號的干擾，直接瞭解數學所要傳達的理念。因此，他不但沒有使用分數符號，也一直到孩子從實際物體瞭解幾分之幾的意義後，才在最後一頁點出：這些幾分之一、幾分之二……的概念，在數學上被命名為「分數」。

　　「分數是分出來的」就是這麼一本能讓孩子在不受符號和名詞限制下學會分數道理的書。

　　7.《比比看，誰大?誰小?》
　　你有過被孩子追著問過這類的問題嗎？
　　
　　「恐龍很大嗎？」「有多大？」「會比房子大嗎？」……孩子對於「誰比較大？誰比較小？」的問題，總是很有打破砂鍋問到底的熱情。其實，大與小的概念，是建立在相互比較上的，不比比看，就無法判斷哪個大、哪個小。
　　
　　「比比看，誰大？誰小？」這本書，就是透過各種有趣的例子，以兩兩進行比較，或者兩個以上的人或物進行比較，讓孩子認識「大」和「小」不是絕對的，而是一種相對的比較概念。

　　8.《剪剪貼貼，算面積》
　　你的孩子知道自己的手掌有多大嗎？他有沒有想過怎麼測量手掌的大小？如果告訴他可以用1 元硬幣來測量，他會不會很驚訝？
　　
　　「剪剪貼貼，算面積」要傳達給孩子測量區域面積的概念。什麼是「區域」？被邊界圍起來的範圍，都可以統稱為「區域」。區域的形狀有規則的，也有不規則的；區域的表面有平坦的，也有凹凸的；區域的邊界有直的，也有彎曲的。
　　
　　根據區域的不同特性，測量區域面積的測量單位也會不同。日常生活裡有很多東西都可以拿來充當測量面積的單位，比如硬幣、明信片、罐頭……等等。在這本書中，作者就設計了多種不同測量單位的算面積遊戲，讓孩子在剪剪貼貼中充分享受測量的樂趣。

　　9.《重量與平衡》
　　你和孩子一起玩過蹺蹺板吧？
　　
　　你坐一邊，孩子坐另一邊，結果你的腳一離地，孩子坐的那一邊馬上翹了起來。如果孩子找來2 個小朋友幫忙，3 個人一起坐在蹺蹺板的同一邊，結果會怎樣？可能換成你這邊的蹺蹺板翹起來，也可能蹺蹺板兩邊就這麼保持了平衡。
